After earning her bachelor's degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, she completed a master's degree in the physician assistant program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Ms. Sommers was certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and, shortly after, moved to Dallas in 2006. She joined Surgical Associates of North Texas in October 2006 where she enjoys helping patients understand their treatment options and guiding them through recovery. When not caring for patients, Ms. Sommers enjoys spending time with her husband, John, their two sons, and her extended family and friends.
